HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood names Chase Christianson new CEO of 451-bed hospital

HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood announced Chase Christianson as its new CEO on Oct. 15. The appointment puts the 451-bed acute care hospital at 22999 Highway 59 in Kingwood under the leadership of an administrator who has spent the last three years running a Florida hospital.
Christianson comes from HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital, where he was CEO from November 2022. The hospital released the appointment on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2026.
During his time in Florida, Christianson directed growth projects and service line expansion, according to the news release. The announcement described his tenure there as a period of capital improvements.
Before moving to Florida, Christianson led Parham Doctors' Hospital in Virginia. There, he oversaw growth in orthopedics, bariatric surgery, colorectal surgery, and emergency services, the release said.
Christianson also spent time as chief operating officer at HCA Florida Capital Hospital. In that role, he managed expansion projects that included two freestanding emergency departments, operating room additions, and cardiac catheterization laboratory upgrades, the release said.
Troy Villarreal, HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division president, said Christianson's background prepared him for the Kingwood position.
"Chase is an experienced HCA Healthcare leader who has demonstrated a strong commitment to patients, physicians and colleagues throughout his career," Villarreal said in the release. "His operational experience and record of supporting service growth and facility investments will serve HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood well as the hospital continues meeting the healthcare needs of the communities it serves."
Christianson steps into the role as the hospital serves the Lake Houston area, including Kingwood, Humble, and surrounding neighborhoods.
"I am honored to join HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood and look forward to working alongside its physicians, nurses and colleagues to continue providing high-quality care for the community," Christianson said in the release. "I am excited to build on the hospital's work and support its continued growth as we serve patients and families across the Lake Houston area."
The release did not name the outgoing CEO or say when the transition took effect.
