The Savannah Bananas will play the Texas Tailgaters at Reliant Stadium in Houston on May 22 and 23, 2027, according to the Banana Ball league's 2027 schedule. The two-game set will be the first baseball games played at Reliant Stadium, which opened in 2002 as the home of the Houston Texans.

The Banana Ball league announced the schedule on Monday. The 2027 tour will send the league's six teams to 74 cities in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

Sugar Land's Constellation Field will host two earlier games in the region. The Texas Tailgaters will play the Loco Beach Coconuts there on March 12 and 13.

The Savannah Bananas last appeared in the Houston area in May, when they played before 102,000 fans at Texas A&M's Kyle Field. According to the league, that game set an attendance record for a Banana Ball game and generated $2.1 million in economic impact.

Banana Ball is a professional baseball league that uses novelty rules, dancing umpires, stunts, and comedy bits during games. The Savannah Bananas are the league's best-known team and have built a national following around those on-field antics.

Fans who want tickets must enter a ticket lottery by Oct. 31 for a chance to buy them. The league has not announced when winners will be selected or when general ticket information will be released.
